ALSO VOLUNTEER TEACHER AIDES.

Volunteer Dinner May 18, 2006

Volunteers of all ages
and backgrounds came
together to the smells
of chicken curry, pad
thai, vegetable spring
rolls, and sweet and
sour stirfry at New
Generation Shelter last
night. A delicious feast
of 15 authentic Thai
dishes greeted 40
volunteers, board
members, and staff. Chef
Sompit Chase of Thailand
prepared the feast from
scratch with many prep
cooks helping.
Volunteers were
recognized for their
work in the shelter,
daycare, thrift shoppe
and furniture barn with
certificates of
gratitude and blooming
geraniums donated by
Carpenter’s Olde English
Greenhouse of Newmarket.
Outstanding Service
awards were given
to volunteers: David
Duggan of Rye, Dot Smith
of Exeter, Deb Davis of
Exeter, and Joanne
Bisson of Kittery,
Maine. Duggan and Smith
volunteered over 300
hours each. |
