SHELTER DONATIONS NEEDED IN RECOGNITION OF DOT SMITH’S EFFORTS

Letter to the Editor: Last year, New Generation held a 50's Dance Fundraiser at La Famiglia Restaurant to fill its food pantry. Our volunteer, Dot Smith of Exeter, worked tirelessly with shelter residents and successfully raised over $1,000 in cash and collected vanloads full of food all in one night. Dot can't arrange the dance this year as her husband, Bob Smith, has terminal cancer. Please help us make Dot, Bob, and the shelter residents happy by filling our shelves in this time of need! New Generation needs food, paper products, and medicines this season! Please donate canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, cereals, Good Start formula with Iron, coffee, tea, condiments, frozen foods ie. pizza, easy meals, and baking mixes. Our broom closets need paper towels, single-ply bathroom tissue, hand sanitizer, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap- LIQUID only, tall kitchen trash bags, bleach, feminine hygiene products, brooms and mops. Our medicine cabinets need over-the- counter medicines for colds and cold prevention, pain relief, and fevers. Our infants need baby thermometers, diapers for newborns and sizes 1-3, baby wipes, and teething rings. Stop by New Generation Shelter, Next Generation Infant & Toddler Center, or Second Generation Thrift Shoppe to DROP OFF DONATIONS M-F 9-4PM AND RECEIVE A TAX RECEIPT AND A 20% OFF THRIFT SHOPPE COUPON!! We thank you so much for helping us to help young families for the last 20 years.
