For Immediate Release: Charity Golf Tournament Attracts LPGA
Pros, Raises $19,900 for New Generation Shelter and Next
Generation Daycare
Wednesday, September 27,
2006 (Greenland, NH)—The 3rd Annual Women
Supporting Women Charity Golf Tournament raised $19,940 to
benefit New Generation, a shelter for homeless pregnant and
parenting women with young children, and Next Generation
Daycare and Preschool. LPGA Golf Pros Nancy Henderson,
Teresa Zamboni, and Alexis Sieg were working guests at the
event held September 18th at Breakfast Hill Golf
Club. Chairperson Beverly Barney of Exeter invited the pros
and attracted 99 players to participate in the ladies-only
event.
“Having the pros
here brought the tournament to a whole new level,” said
Barney. “I am thankful for all the help we received from the
LPGA ladies who volunteered their time to raise more money
for New Generation.”
All proceeds support the shelter and its counseling,
parenting education, nutrition and life skills training,
transportation and aftercare programs, as well as its
