New Generation is Turning Shaw’s Receipts Into Cash

Tuesday, June 26, 2007 (Greenland, NH)—Save your Receipts! Shaw’s Supermarket receipts are being turned into cash to raise operating funds for New Generation Shelter. The non-profit shelter is getting a percentage of total Shaw’s receipts back with the Shaw’s Receipt Rewards program. The community is encouraged to drop off their receipts at New Generation Shelter, or Next Generation Infant & Toddler Center, both at 568 Portsmouth Avenue, Greenland, or at either of the Second Generation Thrift Shoppes, at Tide Mill Road, Greenland, or 25 Old Dover Road, Rochester.

New Generation, Inc. is a shelter for homeless pregnant women and mothers with young children that teaches self-sufficiency to its residents. The shelter houses up to seven women and their children at a time, while teaching parenting education, job skills and life skills. Residents are driven to housing, health and social service appointments in the Continuum of Care, as well as work, job interviews and education classes. Other services include Next Generation Infant & Toddler Center, and Second Generation Thrift Shoppes in Greenland and on Old Dover Road in Rochester. All proceeds help support New Generation Shelter operating costs.
