For Immediate Release: Save the Date! Tuesday, September 25th is the From Left to Right: LPGA Pro Alexis Sieg, Chairwoman Beverly Barney, and LPGA Pros Teresa Zamboni and Nancy Henderson relax after last year’s event at Breakfast Hill Golf Club. Tuesday, June 12, 2007 (Greenland, NH)—The 4th Annual Women Supporting Women Charity Golf Tournament to benefit New Generation, a shelter for homeless pregnant and parenting women with young children, is coming to Breakfast Hill Golf Club Tuesday, September 25th. Over 100 women participated in last year’s tournament with LPGA Golf Pros Nancy Henderson, Teresa Zamboni, and Alexis Sieg as working guests at the event. Chairperson Beverly Barney of Exeter has invited the pros and hopes to raise more than $20,000 this year. “Having the pros here brought the tournament to a whole new level,” said Barney. “I am thankful for all the help we received from the LPGA ladies who volunteered their time.” All proceeds support the shelter and its counseling, parenting education, nutrition and life skills training, transportation, and aftercare programs. Tournament sponsorships are now available from $100 and up. Businesses and individuals may also donate silent auction items or can sign up teams of four women for the scramble. New Generation Shelter houses seven women and their children at a time, providing counseling, parenting education, nutrition classes, job skills and life skills. Residents are driven to partnering agencies for housing, health and social service appointments, work, and education classes. Other services include: Second Generation Thrift Shoppes in Greenland and Rochester (all proceeds support the shelter’s operating costs), and Next Generation Infant & Toddler Center, offering full-time care to 18 children, with full-time openings available now.
