Letter to the Editor: New Generation Raised Over $24K at 15th Annual Auction

Dear Editor,

I want to thank the volunteers, sponsors, participating businesses, and guests of New Generation’s 15^th Annual Charity Dinner Auction held May 11. You helped us raise $24,000 for shelter programs. Over 130 people gave a former shelter resident a standing ovation after she shared her success story. Co-founder Ruthie Ford thanked many who helped build and expand the shelter’s services. Auctioneer Joe Shanley took bids on items ranging from Red Sox tickets to spa resort stays.
