Thrifty Hawaiian Luau to Benefit New Generation Shelter

Wednesday, July 11, 2006 (Greenland, NH)—Second Generation Thrift Shoppe at Route 33 and Tide Mill Road, Greenland, is hosting a thrifty Hawaiian Luau fundraiser Wednesday, July 19. During the luau, customers will save 50% off everything in the shoppe and the furniture barn. Staff and volunteers are planning to have sno cones, face painting, balloons, limbo, and refreshments for shoppers. Wear a grass skirt and receive an additional 10% off! All shoppe and barn proceeds benefit New Generation, a not-for-profit shelter for homeless pregnant women and mothers with young children. Come shop for a wide variety of clothing for men, women, and children, kitchen items, baby accessories, toys, books, and furniture!

“We always do our best to have fun around here, and there’s nothing better on a hot summer day than a luau!,” said Janet Hamilton, manager. Hamilton often has theme sales, such as a Clown-Around Day, and a May Day where customers were invited to dance around the MayPole.
