Save the Date! September 18th is the
3rd Annual Women Supporting Women Charity Golf Tournament

Thursday, July 13, 2006 (Greenland, NH)—The 3rd Annual Women Supporting Women Golf Tournament, set for Monday, September 18, will benefit New Generation, Inc., a shelter for homeless pregnant women and mothers with young children. Mrs. Beverly Barney of Exeter, New Hampshire is chairing the event at Breakfast Hill Golf Club in Greenland.  The entrance fee is $100 per player, and includes a continental breakfast, green fees with cart, elegant luncheon, LPGA players’ clinic, raffle prizes, and chances to bid on fantastic auction items.

To register a team or individual for the tournament, sign up as a corporate sponsor, or make a raffle donation, call Beverly Barney at 603-772-3355 or New Generation at 603-436-4989. You can also download the registration form at www.newgennh.com, under Women’s Golf Tournament.

“I am happy to help New Generation Shelter as they work with other agencies in the seacoast to help single moms and their babies find housing and stability,” said Barney. “Their daycare also helps families to stay working, which in turn helps the local economy.” Barney expects 100 players this year, with two LPGA professionals as special guests. This winter, Barney received the “Unsung Hero” award from the American Red Cross for the variety of Seacoast causes she and her late husband Bob have donated time and money to since 1970, including hospice, New Generation, American Cancer Society, Rockingham County Home, and the Special Olympics.

Women-owned businesses are encouraged to advertise their company’s services by sponsoring the event. Planners hope to raise $15,000 with additional teams, sponsorships, and by word of mouth. Proceeds will fund shelter programs including counseling, parenting education, nutrition and life skills training, transportation and aftercare. Volunteers are needed prior to the event and on the day. For more information visit www.newgennh.com or call 603-436-4989.
