Dear Friends and Supporters, The harvest season is upon us and it is the time to put away the summer clothes and locate that warm blankets and winter coat. The leaves tell us what is happening now in this part of the country....change from green to gold to red to brown, then releasing to fall upon the ground, giving back to the land from which it came. This season offers us time to reflect on the labors of summer which for me have been many.
I have spent the summer here at New Generation spending quality time with the staff, learning more about the inner workings of the organization, getting to know the Board of Directors and sharing in the births of two new babies. This is truly an amazing place! Each day brings new surprises and new memories.
Along with that, the summer brought changes in staff: our new bookkeeper, Michelle and fundraising director, Lisa. We welcome them both and look forward to the many new projects on the horizon.
The Infant and Toddler Center started the new school year with familiar faces and some new ones as well. We are currently open for more toddlers and are hopeful for a couple of volunteers on a part time basis. It is very rewarding to spend time with the babies, toddlers, and staff (when I can sneak in for 'storytime' or 'outdoor' play).
I wish you all the best in this time of change and warmly thank each and every one of you for all that you do for New Generation. On behalf of the babies, mothers, and staff. Be well and see you soon.
Kelsi
